Artist Statement: The subject, style and context of my work goes through many changes over the years. However, that which is constant above all is the play of color; intense, decorative, mysterious and symbolic; the contrast and dialogue between perception and reality; and the drawing which is both descriptive and interpretive and the underpinning of the paintings. In this series the color green associated with the waterlily theme plays a number of roles and is essential to theme which is “Les Ninfees.
