Artist Statement: My unconventional childhood shaped the way I see things. From a young age, I felt a great need to re-imagine my world in terms I could understand. In my art is metaphor and simile and inadvertent abstraction, a child’s way of seeing the world with an adult’s understanding that not everything is as it seems.
