Artist Statement: These pieces are a reflection of a recent exploration into my relationship to the landscape. As an artist and resident of the northern woods of NH I am constantly questioning my rationale for describing the landscape in my work. The magic of the woods holds a special place in my psyche. I seek to dig beneath the surface to expose the magic that resides there, while in some way protecting and preserving it in works of art.
